Using Vehicles Guide

This guide explains the “Open and Enter Vehicle”, “Leave and Put Away Vehicle”, and “Add Fuel” actions in the game user screen, as well as how long-distance travel selects a vehicle.

Note: These map actions automatically handle water or air vehicles. Before sending an action, the client checks the character, party, pet, map, and vehicle state.

Quick Start

Open and enter a vehicle

  1. Log in to the game account and confirm that the character is connected.
  2. Open the “Map Actions” area on the game user screen.
  3. Press “Open and Enter Vehicle”.
  4. Wait for the vehicle to open and the character to enter before moving.

The client finds an available water or air vehicle in the bag, confirms that the current map allows it, and completes the open-and-enter flow. You do not need to enter a vehicle item ID.

Leave and put away a vehicle

  1. Move the character to a ground tile where normal walking is possible.
  2. Confirm that the character is not in battle, dialogue, or another busy state.
  3. Press “Leave and Put Away Vehicle”.
  4. Wait for leaving and putting away to finish before starting another map action.

If the current position is not walkable ground, the button is disabled. Move to a road or another tile where the character can walk.

Automatic vehicle use during long-distance travel

  1. Enter a destination in “Long-distance Travel” and search.
  2. Select an enabled destination.
  3. Press “Start Travel”.

If the route needs water or air travel, the client prepares a suitable vehicle before movement starts. A normal ground route does not need a vehicle. If a suitable water or air vehicle is already being ridden, the client keeps using it.

Status Checks Before Use

The button state is not based only on whether a vehicle exists in the bag. The client checks these conditions first:

Current state Client behavior
The character is not logged in or the connection is lost No vehicle action is sent.
The previous vehicle action is still waiting for confirmation The button is temporarily disabled until it finishes.
The character is in battle The character cannot open, enter, or put away a vehicle.
A special mode is active The character cannot open or enter a vehicle.
The character is in dialogue, trade, travel, or another busy operation The vehicle action cannot interrupt the current flow.
The character is riding a pet The character cannot enter a vehicle until the pet ride ends.
The character is already in a vehicle “Open and Enter Vehicle” cannot be pressed again.
No usable water or air vehicle is in the bag The button is disabled and reports that no vehicle is available.
The vehicle’s bag slot is locked by another operation That vehicle is not selected for the action.
The current map does not allow water or air vehicles The client cannot open a vehicle.
The character is in a party but is not the leader The character cannot enter a vehicle.
A party member is riding a pet The character cannot enter a vehicle to avoid an inconsistent party state.
The party is larger than the vehicle capacity The character cannot enter that vehicle.

When a button is disabled, hover over it to read the current reason in plain language.

Party and Pet-Riding Safeguards

Party rules

  • Only the party leader can enter a vehicle.
  • The client compares the whole party size with the vehicle capacity; it will not force entry when the party is too large.
  • If any party member is riding a pet, the leader cannot enter a vehicle.
  • If the party size, leader, or pet-riding state changes, check the button tooltip again before trying.

Vehicles and pet riding are mutually exclusive

  • A character riding a pet cannot enter a vehicle.
  • A character riding a vehicle cannot ride a pet.
  • These states cannot be active together. End the current ride before using the other travel mode.

Vehicle Selection Priority

When the client needs to prepare a vehicle automatically, it uses this order:

  1. Water vehicles are preferred over air vehicles. When a suitable water vehicle is available, the client does not choose an air vehicle first.
  2. The regular vehicle is preferred within the same water or air type. If both the regular item and its capsule version are in the bag, the regular item is selected first.
  3. If multiple choices remain, the vehicle in the earlier bag slot is selected.

A candidate must have a usable quantity and an unlocked bag slot. If a vehicle is already open but is not suitable for the route, the client does not automatically put it away and switch to another vehicle; handle the currently open vehicle first.

Adding Fuel

“Add Fuel” is enabled only when all of these conditions are true:

  • The character is connected and is currently riding a vehicle.
  • The character is not in battle or another state that blocks world actions.
  • The bag contains fuel compatible with the current vehicle.
  • The fuel item is not locked by another operation.

Pressing “Add Fuel” uses a compatible fuel item from the bag. If no compatible fuel is available, prepare the correct fuel instead of using an arbitrary item.

Checks Before Leaving a Vehicle

“Leave and Put Away Vehicle” first confirms that:

  • The character is actually riding their own vehicle.
  • No vehicle operation is waiting for confirmation.
  • The character is not in battle, NPC dialogue, an event, a special mode, or another busy state.
  • The current position is walkable ground.

If any check fails, the client disables the action and explains why. Finish the dialogue, leave battle, or move to walkable ground before trying again.

Vehicle Checks During Long-Distance Travel

Before long-distance travel starts, the client checks the route:

  1. A ground-only route does not require a water or air vehicle.
  2. A route that needs water or air travel must be checked against the current map.
  3. The client then checks for an available vehicle and verifies the character, party, and pet-riding states.
  4. If a check fails, the destination can remain visible, but Start Travel is disabled with a plain-language reason.
  5. The client checks again when travel starts; a destination shown as available is not a promise that the character can leave immediately.

Common Problems and Troubleshooting

“Open and Enter Vehicle” is disabled

Read the tooltip first. Check the connection, battle, special mode, busy state, personal or party pet riding, party leader status, party size, and whether the current map allows vehicle use.

The bag contains a vehicle, but the client says none is available

Confirm that it is a water or air vehicle, has a quantity greater than zero, and its bag slot is not locked. If the currently open vehicle is not suitable for the route, the client also will not switch vehicles automatically.

Why can’t a party member enter the vehicle?

Only the party leader can enter. The leader is also blocked when the party is larger than the vehicle capacity or when a party member is riding a pet.

The vehicle cannot be left and put away

Confirm that the character is not in battle, NPC dialogue, an event, a special mode, or another busy state, then move to walkable ground. Do not request put-away while over water, in the air, or on a blocked tile.

The long-distance destination cannot start

Read the disabled reason on the destination. If the route needs water or air travel, prepare a suitable vehicle and resolve any party, pet, busy-state, or map restriction, then search for the destination again.

Final Checklist

  • The character is logged in and connected.
  • The current map allows the required water or air vehicle.
  • The bag contains an available vehicle with an unlocked slot.
  • The character is not in battle, special mode, or another busy flow.
  • In a party, the character is the leader and the party fits the vehicle capacity.
  • Neither the character nor party members are riding pets.
  • Before leaving, the character is on walkable ground.
  • When fuel is required, compatible fuel is available and unlocked.
