FloatPilot User Guide

Gathering Guide

This guide explains how to find static NPC resource points in the “Map Operations” area and use “Gather” or “Continuous Gather” to start an NPC interaction with a resource point.

Note: “Gather” here does not mean picking up a dropped item. It starts an interaction with a static NPC resource point on the map.

Quick Start

Find a gather point

  1. Log in to the game account and confirm that the character is connected.
  2. Open the “Map Operations” area on the game user screen.
  3. Find the “Gather Points” panel.
  4. Select a resource point listed for the current map. Each row shows the point name and coordinates.

If the current map has no recognized point, the panel shows “No gather points on the current map”. Confirm the map and wait for the map NPC data to finish refreshing.

Gather once

  1. Find the target point in the “Gather Points” list.
  2. Press “Gather” on that row.
  3. FloatPilot starts one NPC interaction with the resource point.

“Gather” runs once and does not repeat automatically. Its tooltip also explains that it talks to the selected gather point once.

Start continuous gathering

  1. Find the target point in the “Gather Points” list.
  2. Press “Continuous Gather” on that row.
  3. FloatPilot gathers immediately once, then gathers again every 2 minutes and 5 seconds.
  4. Check the status text and countdown above the list to confirm the active point.

While continuous gathering is active, the “Gather” and “Continuous Gather” buttons for other points are disabled. Press “Stop Gathering” before switching to another point.

How Gathering Works

One-time gathering

One-time gathering requires a connected character and uses the NPC interaction target from the selected point. If the character is already performing another operation that cannot overlap, the NPC interaction may not start; wait for the current operation to finish and try again.

Continuous gathering

Continuous gathering remembers the selected point and the map where it was started. Before each scheduled attempt, the system confirms that the character can start an NPC interaction. If another NPC interaction is active or the character is temporarily busy, it waits until the conditions are available again.

Only one point can be gathered continuously at a time. Use the status countdown to confirm when the next attempt is scheduled.

Current-map restriction

Points are listed for the current map. If the character changes maps after continuous gathering starts, the system stops automatically so it does not interact with a point from the previous map.

Automatic Stop Conditions

Continuous gathering may stop for any of these reasons:

Stop reason Explanation
Manual stop You pressed “Stop Gathering”.
Map changed The character left the map where continuous gathering started.
Disconnected The character or game connection was lost.
Logged out The game account logged out.
Battle started The character entered battle.
Stall started The character entered stall mode.
External NPC interaction Another flow started an NPC interaction.

After stopping, the panel shows the latest reason. Resolve the cause, select a point again, and start “Continuous Gather” again.

Common Problems and Troubleshooting

The gather point list is empty

Check these items in order:

  1. Confirm that the character is logged in and connected.
  2. Confirm that the character is on the expected map.
  3. Confirm that the “Map Operations” area finished refreshing the current map NPCs.
  4. Confirm that the map contains a recognized static NPC resource point.

Pressing “Gather” does nothing

Confirm that the character is not already in an NPC interaction or another busy operation. If it still cannot start, verify the point name and coordinates, then try again.

Continuous gathering stops quickly

Read the “Stopped” text first. It will identify whether the process stopped because of a map change, battle, stall mode, disconnection, or another NPC interaction. These are protective stop conditions.

The next gather time does not arrive

When another NPC interaction is active or the character is temporarily busy, continuous gathering waits until interaction is available again. Entering battle or stall mode stops it instead; check the stop reason.
